Teeth need more care, just like any other part of the body. Even if you are not a medical expert, you can prevent tooth cavities on your own. Physicians recommend combining effective dental hygiene practices with a few simple changes to your daily diet. Here is a list of simple ways to prevent tooth cavities.
CHANGE YOUR EATING HABIT :
Healthy eating improves your health. Overeating sugar causes tooth cavities, and phytic acid interferes with calcium absorption. But you can stay away from this kind of problem by changing your eating habits.
Eat more calcium-rich foods as it is a critical component of bones and teeth. Eat dairy foods every day, such as milk, yogurt, sour cream, cheese.
Drink sugar-free tea and drink plain water, fruit smoothies and flavourless teas. Water is usually very beneficial for the body. It nourishes us with moisture and helps produce more saliva.
CHEW SUGAR-FREE GUM :
Sugar-free gum helps prevent tooth cavities. Most of these gums contain the natural sweetener xylitol. Unlike food, xylitol does not allow bacteria to grow in the mouth.
BRUSH TEETH REGULARLY :
Always choose a small or medium-sized brush so that the bristles can penetrate the teeth’ grooves where food debris accumulates.
Please do not put any cap on the brush, as it may contain microorganisms and bacteria. After using the brush, rinse well with water and let it dry.
MINERAL PASTE :
It requires a few natural ingredients that you can buy at any store. Ensure the quality and safety of the ingredients since you will prepare the mineral paste yourself. Keep the ingredients together until the mixture takes the shape of a paste. You use this mixture in place of your regular toothpaste. Please do not use the mixture for more than 30 days as it does not contain any fluoride.
